Our family has been greatly blessed by the many expressions of sympathy we received since May 7. We were touched by how many friends attended the memorial service. Despite the sadness of this loss, we have been comforted to hear and read so many stories and reminiscences of friends and colleagues about J.P. Garnier. Memorial Service

A memorial service to celebrate the life of J.P. Garnier will be held on Tuesday, May 12 at 4 p.m., at Cedar Run Community Church, 13560 McLearen Road, Oak Hill, Virginia 20171 (http://cedarrun.net/map.html).

Jean-Pierre ("J.P.") Garnier made an impression on virtually all who met him.  As a father, grandfather, trial lawyer, traveller, friend, he left lasting memories.  He passed away peacefully on the afternoon of May 7, 2009, at the home of his son and daughter-in-law, after a lengthy illness.  His last months were marked by many expressions of gratitude for the life God had allowed him to enjoy and humble recognition that God's mercies and kindness are an undeserved gift.

This blog is created so those who knew J.P.
